On Episode 28 of the World Wrestling Resource Podcast, we're
joined by legendary wrestling coach Dan Gable and four-time
All-American and 1999 U.S. World Team member Eric Akin. Joining
host Jason Bryant is the World Wrestling Resource's own Terry
Brands.
We'll talk with the group about the factions within wrestling and
whether or not there is a barrier to entry with elite-level clubs
and regional training centers, drawing off the Hawkeye Wrestling
Club experience with all three.
Akin, now a high school coach in Kansas, left Iowa State after
graduating to compete with the Hawkeye Wrestling Club based at the
University of Iowa, the Cyclones' chief rival.
Akin and Brands also share in how their losses helped drive them to
compete further and also how the current set of rules with
international wrestling make coaches have to be bigger students of
the game.
The World Wrestling Resource has a slew of resources for wrestlers
and coaches from all levels and information about the products can
