One of the larger stories that came out of the 2018 Commonwealth
Games in Gold Coast, Australia was the one of Kevin Wallen. The
president of the Jamaica Wrestling Federation, Wallen competed at
86kg in freestyle and won his opening match 11-10 over a wrestler
from the Bahamas.
At 48 years old.
On Episode 61 of the World Wrestling Resource, we'll catch up with
Wallen, who was raised on the island nation of nearly 3 million
people before moving to Canada and discovering wrestling. It was a
means to keep him out of trouble and give him a pathway to a
post-secondary education. What is Wallen doing to grow wrestling in
his homeland, and what in the world possesses a 48-year-old man to
go out and scrap with wrestlers, in some cases, 20 years younger?
We'll find out in this amazing episode of the World Wrestling
Resource Podcast.
The World Wrestling Resource has a slew of resources for wrestlers
and coaches from all levels and information about the products can
